Research Paper On What Makes A Serial Killer

What makes serial killers so dangerous? Are they made or born? They are either born or made. Although there is no evidence that serial killers are genetically created, they can be said to have been traumatized by their past. Many people argue about what makes a serial killer a serial killer. Serial killers are aware of what they do and choose to act in a particular way.

A serial killer is someone who commits multiple murders within a short time. Serial killers are a common phenomenon that has existed for many years. The FBI defines serial killers as people who have committed at least three murders in less than a month. Serial killers often display psychopathic traits, which could indicate brain abnormalities. It was found that criminal psychopathy is closely linked to brain abnormalities in a Wisconsin study. Understanding the motivations of criminals is an important step in understanding their behavior. Most have suffered from a poor childhood. There will be physical or sexual abuse, separation of parents, and other negative childhood experiences. This trauma is also shared by serial killers like John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ed Gein, Richard Ramirez and so on. Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy, Ed Gein and Richard Ramirez are all part of that trauma. Ted Bundy, a serial killer, is not able to be proven guilty of traumatizing his childhood like the other killers. What is it that makes serial killers kill? What is the mind like? Are they exhibiting psychopathic behavior? These are just a few of the questions we ask ourselves about why they do or do not do certain things. We are curious about what they think and feel when they kill others. LaBrode says that serial killers intrigue everyone because they are able to imagine committing such a horrible crime without ever feeling remorseful.

When they think of their next victim, these serial killers know exactly what they’re doing. They know the who, when and whereabouts of their next victim. They are able to identify when they are concealing evidence based on what they have done. They leave crime scenes and know how they can hide their second personality. Psychopaths are when they do this. These criminals are able to organize their lives. After they have committed their crimes, they don’t feel guilty. This is why they appear normal and normal to the public. Serial killers are born and not made. Jeffrey Dahmer, serial killer? His story is fascinating and I’m able to talk about his actions and why he became a serial killer. Dahmer loved to collect dead animals and use corrosive substances to kill them. His father was an experimental chemist. They would often spend time together working on this hobby. His dad passed away later in his adult life. His mother was suffering from depression and tried to commit suicide while this was happening. His parents eventually divorced after all this. Does that make it a good reason to become serial killers? It is not. He may have felt more affected by this because it all began in his head. Even as a child, he was already possessed by the desire to murder someone. At the age of 13 he planned to murder a jogger, but he never actually did it. His parents had problems and he got into deep drinking when he turned 18. His anger was fueled by the lack of love and attention he received. Because the lack of these emotions, during a kill according to Jentzen, ‘At the basis of hostility-aggressivity, one may find feelings of dependence, passivity, helplessness, a need to be loved frustrated in childhood, or a wish to control or dominate a reaction formation against dependency and passivity.’ Dahmer killed his first victim at the age of 18. Between 1978 and 1991, Dahmer killed 17 people (Jeffrey Dahmar’s victims). He knew what was happening. He was able to conceal his evidence. He knew what to do with his evidence. He thought of this and wanted to accomplish this by the age of 13. Ted Bundy is another famous serial killer I’ll mention. Ted Bundy confessed to having killed 36 women. Ted Bundy was handsome and manipulative in his kidnapping of women. Bundy was intelligent and used his charms to get girls to support him. Bundy would kidnap and murder any girls who would listen to his charm. As a child, he thought his mother was his sibling. “Bundy may possibly have been subject to psychological or physical abuse at the hands his grandfather,” although he later claimed that they had a great relationship. Evidence also shows that he never suffered from any severe trauma. People were stunned to learn that Ted Bundy, who was so friendly, was a serial killer. Aynesworth and Michaud say that Ted Bundy’shattered all preconceptions regarding the kind of person who could commit such evil acts, presenting to the world a figure both grossly disturbing and wholesome to look at; a lovable, lovable, homicidal mutant. Although there are many theories about when Bundy began killing, most sources agree that it was around 1974. Many women in Seattle and Oregon were reported missing at this time. Some of the victims were last seen with a young, dark-haired man named Ted. He lured them into his car pretending to be hurt and asked for their assistance. Their kindness was a fatal error. Ted Bundy’s Victims Ted Bundy would often return to the sites where his victims were dumped. This was in order to verify that nothing had been left behind. But he would still be paranoid. Ted enjoyed describing the murders of the girls to give the sensation of being able to relive the moment. Ted was clear in this case. He would return to make sure he didn’t leave any evidence. Is this a serial killer made or born? It is indeed possible to create a serial killer. Others argue that serial killers can be born. How could a serial killer have been born into a family that is driven to kill? They were shown as having ‘bad genetics’ and a bad environment. They create the person they want in their heads and everyone has some mental disorder. Bad childhood experiences are what started it all. The bad childhood experiences they had are what led them to make the choices they made. They kill to vent their mental and emotional issues. Serial killers are prone to having sexual urges. “Sexually speaking, psychopaths have a grandiose demeanor. Their hypo aroused brains cause them to constantly seek sensation.

Serial killers can no longer feel guilty or take responsibility for their crimes. This’self process’ can be described as a phenomenon in which serial killers seem to have detached themselves from any guilt or responsibility for their crimes. Many serial killers tell investigators that they fantasize about their first victim being killed exactly the way they envision it. Killers will often go back to the places they killed their victims. This happens because they fear they may have left evidence that could be used by police to trace the items back to them. Majority of serial killers were victims to a horrible childhood incident. ‘Casualty regarding dissociative states includes severe childhood trauma and some evidence of a physical predisposition.’Every serial killer always had some sort of blackout whenever they were killing people and claimed that something else took over them. Ted Bundy would claim that he would experience a blackout after killing his victims. His deep mental state was so intense that he didn’t feel any remorse. The past experiences of a person can have a profound impact on how they feel about themselves. The past experiences of serial killers can influence their present. This could be due to family traumas or other events that have a profound impact on a child’s mental state. These people should be evaluated mentally as they grow up to prevent them from becoming murderers. It is not clear if the killers are genetically bred, but it is possible to say that their behavior is a result of traumas they have experienced. Overall, society is dangerous. It is their genes that make them deadly.
